Winter Peppermint Punch: A Frosty Holiday Treat for the Whole Family

To mint or not to mint? That is the question.

I'm usually not a mint lover (unless I'm eating a peppermint by itself) but I can get behind the winter vibes and holiday cheer that this mocktail brings just from looks alone.

Enter: Winter Peppermint Punch.

This candy cane-inspired mocktail is the perfect way to add some fun to your holiday celebrations! If you need a holiday pick-me-up or something to make your kids smile, this one is guaranteed to bring smiles, sprinkles, and a whole lot of joy to your day.

Imagine the cool richness of peppermint bark ice cream and the sweet crunch of candy cane rimmed around your glass. Also imagine a drink that looks like it belongs on the cover of a holiday magazine. *clears throat*

It’s indulgent but with approachable ingredients and super easy to make. Plus, it’s endlessly customizable.

Not a fan of peppermint? Use vanilla ice cream instead.
Want a pop of red? Add food coloring.
Craving a boozy holiday vibe? Just a splash of peppermint vodka will do the trick.

How to Make It
This wintry beauty is as easy as blending a few ingredients and dressing up your glasses with some extra holiday magic.

Prep Time: 5-7 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • Candy Canes - 3-4
  • Peppermint Bark Ice Cream - 3 generous scoops
  • Your Favorite Milk or Milk Alternative - ½ cup
  • Strawberry Puree - 1.5 oz
  • Almond Extract - Just a splash!
  • Club Soda - Just a splash!
  • Ice

Garnish:

  • Vanilla Frosting - For rimming the glasses
  • Holiday Sprinkles
  • Candy Cane

Recipe:

  1. Blend up the magic
In a blender, combine the ice cream, almond extract, milk, and ice and blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust the texture with more ice cream or milk as needed.

Then add in the strawberry puree and club soda.

  2. Create the festive rim
Grab your vanilla frosting, spread it along the rim of your glasses, and dip the edges into your sprinkles that you've placed on a plate. You can get really creative with this!

  3. Serve It Up
Carefully pour your Winter Peppermint Punch into the glasses.
Garnish each with a candy cane.
Bonus points for adding a festive straw or mini holiday decorations to your presentation!

Holiday Hosting Tip: Serve these in short Collins glasses and pair them with a plate of warm cookies for the ultimate festive treat! They also make for a fantastic addition to any hot chocolate bar or dessert table.
