It's National Pizza Day and you know what that means - it's time to celebrate!
Everyone loves pizza, so what better way to celebrate than by trying out some delicious pizza and mocktail pairings? Honey, we've put together a list of our favorite combos to help you celebrate National Pizza Day like a pro!
Whether you're looking for a classic combination or something a bit more unique, we've got the perfect pizza and mocktail pairing for you. So grab a slice, grab a mocktail, and enjoy National Pizza Day with one of these tasty combos!
Combo #1
Pepperoni Pizza + Frozen "Rum" and Coke
The traditional pepperoni topping is salty and savory, while the acidic tomato sauce and melted cheese balance out the flavor. I don't know about you but whenever I eat pizza, I automatically want strong, dark soda.
Coke or Pepsi me, please!
This pairing works best with a twist on a classic cocktail: a familiar yet refreshing Frozen "Rum" and Coke. The fizz in this mocktail has just the right amount of burn to cut through the richness of the pizza, while the lime and slush make it feel light with a hint of freshness.
Want to see me make it? Check out the tutorial here. (It's about 17 minutes long.)
Combo #2
Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Pizza + Piña Colada Dreamsicle
If you're looking for a tropical twist to your National Pizza Day celebration, look no further than a Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Pizza paired with a Piña Colada Dreamsicle!
Pineapple on pizza is a controversial topic, but I'm pro-pineapple pizza when it's combined with flavorful, juicy chicken, smoky BBQ sauce, red onion, and tangy cheese.
Take it up a notch with the perfect beverage complement: creamy coconut, vanilla ice cream, and MORE pineapple! The Piña Colada Dreamsicle is an easy drink to make at home with just a few ingredients - all you need is pineapple (fresh or juiced will work), coconut milk, vanilla ice cream, and sparkling water. Throw it all in the blender with ice and blend until creamy.
Garnish with toasted coconut chips, fresh pineapple chunks, or a maraschino cherry.
Combo #3
Supreme Pizza + Short Island Iced Tea
When it comes to the classic combination of pizza and drinks, there’s nothing quite like the pairing of Supreme Pizza with Long Island Iced Tea. I call the mocktail version of a Long Island Iced Tea a SHORT Island Iced Tea (because it's short the alcohol!)
The combination of all your favorite pizza toppings – from beef to mushrooms, bell peppers, and olives – paired with the familiar taste of a Short Island Iced Tea is sure to tantalize your taste buds! The subtle tartness of the drink cuts through the richness of the pizza and provides a contrast that will leave you wanting more. Plus, the punchy citrus and fruity notes of the Short Island Iced Tea really bring out the flavors of the beef and other toppings.
